We have built years of practical experience in panoramic photography and precision engineering at its finest into this small piece of equipment. Both, the precision and the feel of this handy panorama rotor are unique.
Like the 101 in Taipei, the MiniRotor shines with superlatives:
The 101 in Taipei is with 101 floors the tallest building in the world currently.
The MiniRotor weighs exactly 101 grams and is both, the smallest and lightest panoramic plate on the market - and is like its famous counterpart in Taipei of elegant design.
Rotor and stator are made of high strength 7075 aluminum alloy, fully hardcoated, virtually "unbreakable" and of a lasting precision and value. The rotor is free-wheel ball bearing detent, and can be operated at 12, 10, 8, 6, 5 or 4 stops, each with independently adjustable torque. The detent covers all requirements for panoramic photography, whether shooting with 2.5 kilograms of an SLR or a compact camera, whether with a simple wide-angle lens or a fisheye.
The MiniRotor is equipped with a 12mm bubble level to allow precise horizontal alignment.
For holding various equipment (camera, nodal point adapter, clamping system etc.), the central 1/4" screw in the rotor can mount alternatively from the top or bottom of the 1/4" female thread. These possibilities are even extended by the 4KISS mount yet.
The bottom of the stator provides a centered 3/8" female thread, which can be reduced using a 1/4" jack.
The strictly rotation-symmetric structure and the small base footprint of the MiniRotor predestine the tool for use in pole panoramic photography with a fisheye lens.
In combination with the KISS nodal point adapter the two components build an extremely lightweight but precise VR system, perfect for plane, cylindrical and full spherical panoramas.
