Botanic Garden Panorama
A full spherical pano with a lot of deepness !
Yesterday I had time to visit the botanical garden in Munich. All kinds of plants with overhanging branches and leaves invite to position the tripod in between and take a full spherical panorama.
The Pano shown here is from 3 shots (JPEGs only) with the Nikon D3 and the shaved 10.5mm fish. It was processed using PTGUI Pro without any rework or patch. In the nadir you can identify the 3 kerfs of KISS with the tripod mount and the semi-circular notch. The number of images is evident in the number of depicted notches. The KISS was mounted on the relatively large leveling plate EZ-Leveler 2 from Fanotec. The palm leaves extent to only a few centimeters from the front lens. The 10.5 Nikkor was stopped down to f / 8 and operated in hyperfocal mode.
The Pano impressively demonstrates that the fisheye and KISS are an ideal panoramic equipment.
